All in for top riders and just 11 seconds represent the gap between the winner of the GC and the rest of the pack. Giro Ciclistico della Valle d'Aosta 2016 ends with a super short classment: Kilian Frankiny of BMC played a thrilling finale, but he gets the yellow jersey with just 8 seconds on the Spaniard Enric Mas (KLC) and 11 on an amazing Mark Padun (CPK). Il Team Colpack ends the Giro with a double on the finish line of Cervinia: in 2014 Manuel Senni on Giulio Ciccone, today Padun concedes the victory to his teammate Edward Ravasi, who helped him trying to catch the lead of GC. Also Filippo Zaccanti another teammate of Colpack tried to work hard for the Ukrainian, but the pull back of Mas and Frankiny has been greater. Leader's jersey so flies to Switzerland.

For the third consecutive year, Giro della Valle d'Aosta finishes in Breuil-Cervinia: in 2014 the victory of Manuel Senni, last year the ones of Russian Matvey Mamiki. Not just a catwalk, the final stage of this Petit Tour: from Valtournenche to Aosta - about 45 km - the road is downhill and then flat: then the pack will take the road of Salassians up to Nus, where – from km 60 on - the fifth stage of the Giro della Valle d'Aosta will mirror the one of Giro d’Italia 2015: Saint Pantaleon along the toughest side of Verrayes, Torgnon and down to – through Antey – the final climb to 2000 meters of Breuil. On this finish line – in the Giro 2015 – won Fabio Aru, who triumphed at the Valle d'Aosta in 2011 and 2012.
